MARINE ASSET TRACKER
Pole Star’s Marine Asset Tracker (MAT) offers a choice of SkyWave satellite transceivers linked to a web-based service, providing a highly effective way of automatically tracking powered and unpowered marine assets.
Offering a range of hardware options designed specifically for the tug and barge sector, support vessels, oil and gas majors and inshore operators, MAT enables the operator to monitor the safe passage of their vessels through adverse weather conditions and high security risk areas.
Key features
| View fleet on interactive C-Map™ charts | Create geo-zones and receive notifications as assets enter or leave |
| Display Fleet List for latest data on entire fleet | Track history for voyage analysis |
| Receive position reports by email and SMS | View global weather forecasting and meteorological information |
Hardware options
The MAT range of hardware enables the user to select the transceiver unit that meets their specific operational requirements.
MAT1 for vessels with stable power supply eg tugs and support vessels, ideal for both routine tracking and, with its variable reporting capability, monitoring vessels transiting high risk areas.
MAT3 offers a low-maintenance option for unpowered vessels eg barges, “dead” tows, unattended installations. The unit's non-rechargeable battery guarantees 12 months uninterrupted reporting.
MAT5, designed specifically for Rig/Platform Monitoring Management, uses the onboard power supply to power the unit in normal operating conditions. In the event of a power failure, internal and external batteries will continue to power the unit for a further 14 days.
