GTR Europe - Commodity Trade Finance Conference 2017

Having quickly built a reputation as an important annual gathering for global commodity traders, financiers, risk mitigators and other actors involved in commodity trade finance, GTR‘s Commodity Trade Finance Conference returns to Lugano for its fourth year on September 26.

While the global trading market is facing ever more challenges, new opportunities are also arising. Speaking on the panel, To what extent does regulation pose a threat to the future of structured commodity finance? is Charles Ike. Charles is the Regional Head of Financial Markets at Pole Star Space Applications, a leading provider of regulatory compliance and risk management solutions to the maritime and financial sectors.

Charles is a member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments. He also has a Bachelor’s degree in Law & Politics and prior to that studied Foundations of Information Technology. He currently works with Banks, Physical Commodity Trading Companies, Ship Charterers and Insurers to enhance and streamline their vessel screening processes by using innovative software solutions and processes.
