API: Route Optimization

What’s new:

External API access is now available for the Route Optimization Service.

The API responds with optimised route outputs in a standardised format, including Best Time, Minimum Fuel, and Best TCE options. This ensures consistency with existing optimisation results while providing external clients with seamless and controlled access to route optimisation capabilities.

Why it matters:

This enhancement enables external clients to directly consume the Route Optimization service without relying on internal systems. When a client submits an optimisation request through the API, the request is internally processed by T-VOS, which performs the route calculations and optimisation logic.

Data Insights

New Port Notification Events

What’s new:

The Zone & Port Notifications API now supports two new event types: NEW_INBOUND and ETA_CHANGE.

When a vessel’s AIS-reported destination matches a monitored zone or port, a NEW_INBOUND event is generated, giving you advance warning of a vessel’s intent to arrive before it physically crosses the boundary.

If that vessel subsequently updates its AIS-reported ETA, an ETA_CHANGE event is triggered automatically, surfacing the updated arrival window through your existing notification pipeline.

Why it matters:

Together, these two events shift zone and port monitoring from reactive to proactive. You are no longer waiting for a vessel to arrive before taking action – you know it is coming, and you know if its timeline changes.

Whether you are triggering a sanctions screen, alerting an operations team, or feeding an early-warning risk model, the intelligence now arrives when there is still time to act on it.

Meridia

Zone Analytics

What’s new:

Meridia now includes a dedicated Zone Traffic Analytics dashboard, giving you real-time visibility into vessel entries and exits at any zone over the last 24 hours, alongside historical traffic patterns spanning days, weeks, months, quarters, or years.

Powerful filters by vessel type, flag, gross tonnage, and a commercial vessels toggle let you focus on the traffic that matters to your business.

All of this data is also available programmatically via the Zone Analytics API, enabling you to integrate zone intelligence directly into your own systems, dashboards, and workflows.

Why it matters:

Understanding zone traffic patterns has historically required manual data gathering, spreadsheet analysis, or expensive bespoke reporting. Zone Analytics puts that intelligence directly in your hands.

And with API access included, you can go beyond the Meridia UI to power your own internal tools, feed zone data into risk models, or automate domain intelligence workflows, all from the same high-quality, filtered, and aggregated data source.

Maritime Transparency Index (MTI)

MTI Timeline View

The MTI Timeline View provides a rolling 12-month historical perspective of a vessel’s Maritime Transparency Index score through a visual timeline and trend analysis interface.

What’s new:

  • Chronological timeline visualisation of vessel event history
  • Unified view of risk-relevant MTI scoring events
  • Visibility into ownership changes, sanctions events, detentions, and deficiencies
  • AIS anomaly visualisation including spoofing and signal gaps
  • Colour-coded MTI risk tier markers
  • Interactive drill-down into source evidence and event data

Why it matters:

  • Provides a single chronological narrative of vessel behaviour
  • Makes suspicious operational patterns easier to identify
  • Strengthens investigative and compliance workflows
  • Supports evidence-based risk classification decisions
  • Reduces time-to-insight for sanctions and underwriting use cases

Predicted Score V2

ML Prediction Insights V2 expands MTI forecasting capabilities beyond a single composite score, introducing forward-looking predictions for Vessel, Reporting, and Voyage scores.

What’s new:

  • Forecasting for individual MTI sub-score categories
  • Expanded prediction dashboards and visualisations
  • Interactive hover tooltips for projected score analysis
  • Historical versus forecast trend comparison
  • Confidence range shading for prediction transparency

Why it matters:

  • Provides a multidimensional forward view of vessel risk
  • Enables earlier intervention before risk escalates
  • Improves operational decision-making for compliance and underwriting teams
  • Supports root-cause analysis of projected risk changes
