Pole Star Defense at the 14th Annual DSI Border Security & Intelligence Summit

Pole Star Defense joins DSI’s 14th Annual Border Security & Intelligence Summit as
Gold Sponsor; Alex Field to Present Tech-in-Ten Session on Maritime Domain
Awareness for Border Security Missions

Pole Star Defense today announced its participation as a Gold Sponsor of DSI’s 14th Annual
Border Security & Intelligence Summit, taking place August 5-6, 2026 at the National
Housing Center in Washington, D.C.

The Summit convenes senior leaders and decision-makers from the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, the Intelligence Community, federal and local law enforcement, and industry. Together, they will examine the technologies and strategies securing U.S. borders, from advanced surveillance and AI-driven analytics to intelligence integration across the air, land, and maritime domains.

On Day 1, August 5 at 9:40 AM, Alex Field of Pole Star Defense will deliver a Tech-in-Ten
presentation, “Seeing Through the Noise- Finding the Vessels Behind the Border’s Fast
Movers,” examining how maritime domain awareness closes a critical gap in border
security: the maritime border, where dark vessels, smuggling networks, and
transnational criminal organizations exploit gaps in visibility to move people, narcotics,
and illicit goods.

“Analysts already have more vessel data than they can act on. What they need isn’t
more of it, it’s a way to recognize which behaviors actually matter inside all that noise.
That’s the work we do at Pole Star Defense: turning vessel behavior into clear,
actionable intelligence so analysts can cut through the noise and focus on what’s
important.” Alex Field, Managing Director, Pole Star Defense

Pole Star Defense’s platforms fuse vessel tracking, sanctions compliance monitoring,
and dark vessel detection into continuous, actionable intelligence, reducing hours of
vessel analysis to seconds and giving border security, law enforcement, and
intelligence operators the awareness layer they need for detection, interdiction, and
enforcement across the maritime approachess.

Alex Field, Managing Director, Pole Star Defense; Julie Ramos, Business Capture
Manager; and David Cohen, Vice President, Federal Sales, will attend on behalf of Pole
Star Defense. Attendees are invited to visit the Pole Star Defense exhibit table
throughout the Summit for a live demonstration and to discuss how maritime
intelligence supports border and homeland security missions.
