Pole Star USA: 9 Months On

In February of this year, Pole Star opened the doors of our newest office in St. Petersburg, Florida. The move has not only improved the delivery and support of our services, but has also enabled the expansion of the services we offer, with a larger team dedicated to focussing on our U.S. clients.

The Pole Star USA team has expanded and is now made up of almost 20 Polestarians, from Service Desk Analysts to Technical Engineers, and is headed up by Ben Minichino, President of Pole Star USA & Global Head of Governments.

With over 25 years of experience in defense and maritime security, Ben is now responsible for North American operations, global government business development, product innovation, strategy, partnerships and alliances, and a portfolio of products and services for the world’s largest Governments and Maritime Flag Administrations. His role as President is primarily associated with the maritime and homeland security domain, space satellite technologies, SaaS, hosted National Data Centres, LRIT, S-AIS, and VMS, alongside sensitive and non-cooperative satellite surveillance programmes.

“I’m honored and excited to lead this amazing team at Pole Star USA. In the past several months we have launched what has quickly become our global centre of excellence with a focus on Government clients, applications, and services. Pole Star is one of those rare companies to have truly revolutionised the maritime industry with its innovation and its people. I couldn’t be more honored to have been chosen to lead the U.S. office.” Ben Minichino, President of Pole Star USA & Global Head of Governments.

Going forwards, the development and expansion of our U.S. office will continue, alongside the drive and innovation of the team.
