Positional data

Podium utilises more than just AIS. AIS transponders can be turned off by the master at any time, ‘spoofed’, and are prone to satellite coverage black spots. Leveraging multiple separate position sources per vessel (combined to a single high-definition track line), Podium is able to provide the ultimate near-real time shoreside monitoring, with unparalleled detail and continuity. This more detailed positional data serves as a backbone for more accurate analytics and performance algorithms.

Manual Reports

Streamline voyage data collection through uniquely flexible onboard forms, with superior validation capabilities, eliminating errors and avoiding duplicate entry. Podium Onboard remains fully functional whether offline or online, and automatically synchronises with Podium ashore whenever a connection is available.

Podium is also able to accommodate the majority of legacy formats that our clients may be utilising, should they not wish to take advantage of our dedicated PodiumOnboard solution

Sensor/Telemetry Data

Podium delivers unity. Standardise the flow of information between unconnected software systems, hardware systems, and data silos. Podium features a seamless integration of high frequency sensor data via our Connected Community partners. All of the Podium features have been developed to function completely, with or without these integrations, but the opportunity to integrate high frequency sensor data brings an enhanced level of granularity and precision for all suitably equipped vessels.

Global Fleet AIS Data

Podium aggregates, processes and visualises around 80 million AIS messages from the global merchant fleet daily. Taking advantage of multiple sources, including terrestrial AIS data when in VHF range of the coastal receivers, together with Satellite-AIS and Dynamic-AIS for deep sea positions, beyond the reach of conventional AIS tracking solutions.

This capability is used to give Pole Star clients enhanced maritime domain awareness globally, and for all vessel types. With multiple delivery, analysis and visualisation methods available, it has never been easier to view, track and analyse the movements of third-party vessels, and the global fleet as a whole.
